A city’s first marathon, shaped by purpose and community.
Dharan Hospitals, a progressive multispecialty institution in Salem, approached 7Dots to create an identity and campaign for their inaugural cancer awareness marathon: The Run.
The brief was simple yet ambitious—create an event that would unite thousands, drive awareness around early cancer detection, and leave a lasting cultural impression on the city. It had to feel credible, inclusive, and inspired by nature.

A brand rooted in cause and movement.
We began by naming the event The Run—a direct and memorable title that carries motion and metaphor. 
A custom identity was designed to reflect the duality of health and environment, combining natural forms with structured movement. 
The visual language embraced warmth, vitality, and trust.
The event was themed “Run with Nature. Run for a Cause.” and set in Panamarathupatti, a natural lake region on the outskirts of Salem. 
It brought the idea of healing through movement into the heart of the campaign.​​​​​​​

7Dots designed and executed the complete event experience from pre-event communications to race-day scenography. 
Every touchpoint was deliberate:
- Branded race kits with environment-first materials
- Signage systems, stage visuals, and medals
- Social content, promo films, and real-time storytelling
- A post-run digital gallery with AI-powered photo tagging
- On-ground testimonial booths and interactive zones
The design system extended across physical, digital, and ambient formats to create cohesion without repetition.
Impact 
The Run exceeded expectations in both turnout and sentiment:
4,000+ participants across three race categories
Over 300,000 digital impressions within 72 hours
Citywide earned media coverage and influencer shares
Record engagement for Dharan’s digital presence
Repeat requests from the public for an annual edition
